The Viet Han Industrial Park was approved by the Prime Minister to be added to the list of industrial parks in Bac Giang province according to Official Dispatch No. 920/TTg-KTN dated June 20, 2008 with a planned area of 200 hectares. The Viet Han Industrial Park was established on February 27, 2009 according to Decision No. 285/QD-UBND of the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province with an area of 101.53 hectares at the time of establishment. The initial investor of the project was Viet Han Land One Member Co., Ltd., a member of the Korean Land Group. The project is planned to be located in Tang Tien and Hong Thai communes, Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province.
On October 15, 2015, the project’s planning area was adjusted to 50 hectares according to Official Dispatch No. 1830/TTg-KTN of the Prime Minister. After that, the Viet Han Industrial Park was approved to expand by an additional 148 hectares according to Official Dispatch No. 216/TTg-CN dated February 23, 2021 of the Prime Minister, increasing the total planning area of the industrial park to 198 hectares when including the expansion phase. The area of the Viet Han Industrial Park remains the same according to the planning of Bac Giang province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister.
After many years of non-implementation by the investor, the project’s investment certificate was revoked. The Vietnam-Korea Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project was then approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 225/QD-TTg dated February 22, 2021 for Fuji Phuc Long Development Company Limited with an area of 50 hectares in phase 1, the project implementation location is in Hong Thai, Tang Tien communes and Nenh town, Viet Yen district. On February 26, 2024, Fuji Phuc Long Company continued to be approved in principle for investment as the investor of the expanded Vietnam-Korea Industrial Park with a scale of 147.31 hectares and a total investment of more than VND 1,236 billion. The Vietnam-Korea Industrial Park project has an operating period of 50 years (until 2071).
Viet Han Industrial Park was approved by the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province and adjusted its detailed planning through Decision No. 377/QD-UBND dated June 20, 2018; Decision No. 693/QD-UBND dated July 14, 2021; Decision No. 161/QD-UBND dated February 14, 2022 and Decision No. 990/QD-UBND dated September 10, 2023. Currently, Viet Han Industrial Park has a detailed planning area of 197,612 hectares, of which the industrial land area is 123,128 hectares (accounting for 62.4%).
In terms of nature, Viet Han Industrial Park is a concentrated, multi-industry industrial park, attracting investment projects in the fields of mechanical engineering, precision engineering, electrical equipment, construction machinery and equipment, medical equipment, consumer goods production… with modern, advanced technology, environmentally friendly.
Regarding regional connectivity, Viet Han Industrial Park is bordered to the South by Hanoi – Lang Son highway, to the West and Southwest by Dinh Tram Industrial Park and Mi Dien village, and at the same time:

– 40 km from Noi Bai International Airport
– 10 km from Bac Giang city
– 110 km from Hai Phong port; 120 km from Huu Nghi border gate (Lang Son)
- INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEM OF VIET HAN INDUSTRIAL PARK
Internal traffic system: the main axis of Viet Han Industrial Park has a width of 25m-34m, of which the road surface width is 15m; internal roads in the industrial park have a width of 13.5m-22m, of which the road surface width is 7.5m-12m. Traffic routes in the industrial park are arranged with sidewalks 6m-10m wide on each side.
Power supply system: the power source for production in Viet Han Industrial Park is taken from the 22KV line passing through the industrial park. In the future, the power source will be replaced by the 110kV/22kV transformer station inside the area. The 22KV lines are connected to each plot of land in the industrial park.
Water supply system: clean water for production in Viet Han Industrial Park is provided by the water plant of DNP Water Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company through a water supply pipeline system running along the Hanoi – Bac Giang expressway, with a total water supply capacity of about 35,500 m3/day and night.
Wastewater treatment system: all wastewater produced in Viet Han Industrial Park is collected and treated at the industrial park’s centralized wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 18,000 m3/day and night. Wastewater is treated to column A standards before being discharged into the environment.
Other infrastructure facilities: Leveling height from +4.3m to +5.9m; Rainwater drainage system is arranged independently from wastewater drainage system; Green tree system and lighting system; Communication system; Parking system; Solid waste collection and treatment system.
III. LAND RENTAL COSTS AND INVESTMENT INCENTIVES AT VIET HAN INDUSTRIAL PARK
Infrastructure rental price: 120-140 USD/m2/entire remaining lease term (until 2071). Rental price may vary depending on location and area of leased land.
Infrastructure management and maintenance fee: 0.5 USD/m2/year
Electricity price: applied according to EVN’s electricity price list at each time
Water supply price: 0.65 USD/m3, calculated based on actual clean water usage
Wastewater treatment fee: 0.55 USD/m3, depending on the quality of incoming wastewater

Investment incentives at Vietnam – Korea Industrial Park
Corporate income tax incentives: 100% exemption from corporate income tax for the first 2 years and 50% reduction in corporate income tax payable for the next 4 years for new investment projects in industrial parks.
Import tax incentives: import tax exemption for goods on the list of tax incentives imported to create fixed assets for the project.
- CURRENT STATUS OF INVESTMENT ATTRACTION IN VIET HAN INDUSTRIAL PARK
Currently, the Viet Han Industrial Park has basically completed the construction of the first phase of the industrial park’s infrastructure and is simultaneously implementing compensation, site clearance and construction of the expansion phase. However, the Viet Han Industrial Park has attracted large investment projects, such as the JA Solar Group’s solar panel production project with a total investment of more than 477 million USD.
