Hanaka Industrial Park was added to the planning for industrial park development in Vietnam according to Official Dispatch No. 1546/TTg-KTN dated September 18, 2008 of the Prime Minister with an expected planning area of 74 hectares.
On October 12, 2009, Bac Ninh Province approved the detailed planning of HANAKA Industrial Park at a scale of 1/500 in Decision No. 1607/QD-UBND with a planning area of 74.22 hectares, located in the administrative boundaries of Trang Ha and Dong Nguyen wards, Tu Son Town, Bac Ninh Province. After that, Hanaka Industrial Park was adjusted to reduce the planning area according to Official Dispatch No. 1511/TTg-KTN dated August 20, 2014 and Decision No. 574/QD-UBND dated May 15, 2017 of Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee. After adjustment, the planning area of Hanaka Industrial Park was reduced from 74.22 hectares to 55.289 hectares.
Also according to the approved planning, Hanaka Industrial Park is a modern, synchronous, concentrated industrial park that makes good use of local raw materials and human resources, attracting industrial production sectors that cause little pollution and toxicity:
+ Garment and handicraft industry
+ Mechanics, electronic assembly, refrigeration
+ Other light, less polluting and less toxic industries
According to the industrial planning project of Bac Ninh province until 2030, the current location of Hanaka Industrial Park will be converted into urban land, and at the same time, Hanaka Industrial Park will be adjusted to a new location because the current Industrial Park is located quite close to a densely populated residential area.
On June 20, 2023, in Decision No. 728/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on approving the adjustment of the general urban planning of Bac Ninh until 2045, Hanaka Industrial Park was officially converted from an industrial park to an urban area.
- INFRASTRUCTURE OF HANAKA INDUSTRIAL PARK
Power supply system: Hanaka Industrial Park has invested in building a power supply system through 35kV cable lines connected in parallel on the sidewalk in front of each plot of land in the industrial parks and providing power through 35/0.4kV transformer stations with a total power supply capacity of about 11,000 KVA.
Water supply system: Hanaka Industrial Park has invested in building a clean water treatment and supply plant with a capacity of about 3,000 m3/day and night from on-site underground water sources.
Wastewater treatment system: all wastewater in the industrial park is treated by a centralized wastewater treatment system with a treatment capacity of more than 2,000 m3/day and night, capable of treating wastewater up to standard A according to Vietnam’s environmental technical standards.
Internal traffic roads: The main road of the industrial park has a cross-section width of 35 m (of which the roadway is 10.5 m wide on each side); Branch roads in the industrial park have a cross-section width of 13 m – 18 m – 20.5 m – 22.5 m with a roadway width of 7-10.5 m and roads with sidewalks and trees on both sides.
Communication system: Optical cable system is arranged along main traffic routes in the industrial park.
In addition, the Industrial Park also invested in building parking lots, lighting systems, fire-fighting water pipes along traffic routes in the Industrial Park, with ground leveling from +5.5m to +6.125m.
III. CURRENT STATUS OF INVESTMENT ATTRACTION OF HANAKA INDUSTRIAL PARK
Currently, HANAKA Industrial Park has only deployed about 40% of the leased industrial park area, filling 100% of the industrial park land area with built infrastructure, mainly projects of HANAKA Group member companies and a few other small projects. The industrial park is currently carrying out the necessary procedures to convert to the urban area model approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 728/QD-TTg.
